I was with Allstate for two years, perhaps more. I had dealt with Mr. Brockwell a few times, a very kind and knowledgeable man, and I was very content with his service. Unfortunately, this past experience with another agent demolished my high expectations of this office. Two years ago, Allstate reached out to me so that I may consider switching over from the Insurance company I had at the time. I had explained to the agent who gave me a quote that my vehicle was being financed and although I was making the payments, the vehicle was under my father's name. The agent told me that it was a common situation they dealt with and there was no problem because they had done it before. Just a couple of weeks ago, I purchased another vehicle, and as I went to change my policy, "suddenly" they objected to everything they had told me, and as opposed to apologizing for the mistake, this particular agent tried to blame me for accepting to go with Allstate. The agent had pretty much confessed that if anything were to happen to the vehicle, they would not have covered it. After I inquired about why I was so outrageously misinformed, one of the agents in Mrs. Brockwell's office was absolutely rude and couldn't have made it any clearer that the she could not care less about my situation.
She further attempted to deny and ignore my concern. That same day, I cancelled my policy. It was the 18th of April. I decided to go with another Insurance company who had no problem with my situation. A week later, Allstate had the audacity to not only continue to charge me, but failed to even contact me to explain the fault on their behalf. I had to contact Allstate Customer service and put in a request for the refund and I have yet to receive my refund. This was truly a major disappointment for me.
